DUPONT — Water main break woes continue in the borough.

Two breaks were discovered Tuesday morning and repaired Tuesday afternoon; however, another break occurred at about 3 a.m. Wednesday. That second break was repaired Wednesday afternoon.

Susan Turcmanovich of Pennsylvania American Water said subsequent to the fixing of that 8-inch water main Wednesday morning, another break occurred at 9:30 a.m. in the same area.

“We’re anticipating that to be repaired later this evening,” she said. “We are working with PennDOT during these repairs to stabilize the area as well as ensure stability once repairs are completed.”

According to Turcmanovich, a water tanker is still available for customers at the intersection of Main and Stanton streets. Customers need to use their own containers to get water from the tanker.
