Local, state average gas prices dip slightly overnight

The local and state average gas prices dropped slightly overnight, while the national average held steady.

AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following data for today’s average gas prices:

• Wilkes-Barre area gas average at $1.88 today, down a penny overnight and down 3 cents in the last week. Diesel at $226. today, down a penny overnight.

• Pennsylvania gas average at $1.88 today, down a penny overnight and down 4 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.27 today, down a penny overnight.

• National gas average at $1.71 today, unchanged overnight, unchanged in the last week. Diesel at $1.98 today, unchanged overnight.
