While rain is expected today, warmer temperatures and sunshine are expected in the Wyoming Valley as the week rolls on.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 41 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with rain and fog reported.

Rain is likely before 10 a.m. today, followed by a chance of drizzle between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Cloudy skies will then gradually become mostly sunny, and the high will reach 52.

Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight, with a low around 31.

Sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, with a high near 54. Partly cloudy skies will carry over into Wednesday night, with a low around 34.

Sunny skies are expected on Thursday, with a high near 60. Mostly clear skies will follow into Thursday night, with a low around 34.
