NANTICOKE — A section Interstate 81 northbound will be restricted to single-lane traffic so crews can repair a large hole that has opened up on a bridge.

PennDOT spokesman James May said in a news release that the right lane of I-81 north at Exit 164 (Nanticoke) will be closed from 10 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. today for the repairs. May added that a large hole opened up on the bridge that goes over Route 29.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and use extreme caution while traveling through a work zone.
