The forecast for the Wyoming Valley heading into the weekend is shaping up to be a quiet one, with clear skies and warmer temperatures expected.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 35 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 59. Clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 32.

Sunny skies are predicted to round out the week on Friday, with a high near 63. Clear skies will carry over into Friday night, with a low around 34.

Sunny skies are predicted to wrap up the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 71. Mostly clear skies are predicted for Sunday night, with a low around 45.
