Sunny skies will round out the week today, but rain is predicted for the weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 44 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 75. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 52.

Cloudy skies are predicted for Saturday, with showers likely after 10 a.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be near 64.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Saturday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible, and the low will be around 49.

Partly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high will be near 71.

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Sunday night, along with a chance of showers between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. the low will be around 50.
