Scattered traffic congestion reported in the Wyoming Valley this morning

Commuters could encounter some scattered areas of traffic congestion during today’s morning commute.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Route 315 is also free of congestion, but some heavy congestion is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. Areas of minor congestion are reported in the southbound lanes of the South Cross Valley Expressway.

Downtown, isolated areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Scattered areas of minor congestion are also reported on East Northampton, Coal, East Market and North River streets.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
