Rain is in the forecast for the Wyoming Valley today and into tonight, but clear skies are expected for the weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 62 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with light rain reported.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, along with a 50 percent chance of showers after 11 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 77.

Tonight will also bring mostly cloudy skies, along with a 30 percent chance of showers before 9 p.m. The low will be around 58.

Mostly sunny skies will round out the week Friday, along with the possibility of some isolated showers after 3 p.m. The high will be near 80.

Clear skies will follow into Friday night, and the low will be around 54.

Saturday will bring sunny skies, and the high will be near 82. Clear skies are expected into Saturday night, with a low around 56.

Sunny skies will round out the weekend Sunday, with a high near 87. Clear skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 65.
