Commuters should have a smooth morning commute to wrap up the work week, but some scattered areas of traffic congestion are reported.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Route 315 is reporting areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion near the North Cross Valley Expressway, while Route 115 is reporting heavy congestion near East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, Kidder and Mundy streets are each reporting scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion.

Downtown, isolated areas of minor traffic congestion are reported along Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Minor congestion is also reported on Hazle, East Market, East Northampton, North River and South River streets.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
