PITTSTON — The competition dance groups from the Pittston David Blight School of Dance recently competed at the That’s Entertainment Performing Arts Competition held at the Holiday Inn in Breningsville.
The Chiclets competed in the 7 to 9 age division and won first place, a platinum medal and fourth overall award for their modern dance. They took second place and solid gold plus medals for their jazz and tap dances.
The Pixie Stix competed in the 10 to 12 age division and won second place and a platinum medal for their modern dance. This routine also received a special Completely Committed Award.
The Sugar Babies competed in the 7 to 9 age division. They won second place for hip-hop and third place for tap.
Caitlyn Hess, Ashlyn Loyack and Amara Musto were chosen to be on the That’s Entertainment elite team.
The dancers are instructed by Kelli Howatch and Rachel Leandri.
