Rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast again today for the Wyoming Valley and are expected to continue through Monday night.

The National Weather Service indicated it was overcast and 73 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

Mostly cloudy today with a chance of showers expected and thunderstorms likely after 11 a.m. The high will be near 79.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to be likely before 3 a.m. Sunday night, with up to a quarter inch of rain possible. Patchy fog is expected after 3 a.m. The low will be around 64.

On Monday, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms and patchy fog before 8 a.m., then a chance of showers between 8 a.m. and noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. The high will be near 82.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms continues Monday night. Mostly cloudy with a low around 64.

Conditions are expected to clear on Tuesday with sunny skies and a high near 81. Tuesday night will be party cloudy with a low around 62.
