Rain showers expected today and Tuesday for the Wyoming Valley


    Rain showers are in the forecast for the Wyoming Valley again Monday.

    The National Weather Service indicated it was 70 degrees as of 7:13 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

    Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. The high will be near 84.

    Showers and thunderstorms will continue to be likely through 3 a.m. Monday night, with up to a quarter inch of rain possible. The low will be around 66.

    On Tuesday, partly sunny with a chance of showers before 1 p.m. The high will be near 82.

    Showers will clear up Tuesday night. Mostly cloudy with a low around 63.

    Conditions are expected to clear on Wednesday with partly sunny skies and a high near 84.
