WEST PITTSTON — Wyoming Area’s Montgomery Avenue Elementary School will be closed on Tuesday due to a water main break.

The water main broke on Monday in the area of the intersection of Luzerne Avenue and Linden Street, causing some residents to have low water pressure and dirty water.

Some residents might not have water service Tuesday, according to Pennsylvania American Water.

Borough officials recommended boiling drinking water as a precautionary measure.

Police asked residents to avoid traveling in that area, because they anticipate road closure and active construction as work continues to fix the line.

Tankers are available at Antonio’s Pizza at Wyoming Avenue and Luzerne Street, and at the Midway Shopping Center, according to PAW.
