The Wyoming Valley could see some showers on Thursday — otherwise, sunshine and cooler temperatures are expected to stick around.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 45 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 66. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 49.

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Thursday, along with a 50 percent chance of showers after 10 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the high will be near 62.

Mostly cloudy skies will gradually clear into Thursday night, and the low will be around 41.

Sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 58. Mostly clear skies will follow into Friday night, with a low around 36.
