The Wyoming Valley could see some rain today, but sunshine is expected into the weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 50 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, along with a 40 percent chance of showers between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the high will be near 62.

Cloudy skies will gradually clear tonight, and the low will be around 40.

Sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 60. Clear skies will follow into Friday night, with a low around 37.

Sunny skies are expected on Saturday, with a high near 61. Mostly clear skies will carry over into Saturday night, with a low around 44.

Mostly sunny skies will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 66. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Sunday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers. The low will be around 52.
