Sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures are expected in the Wyoming Valley this weekend, and rain could return by Sunday night.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 37 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 60. Clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 37.

Patchy frost is possible before 8 a.m. on Saturday — otherwise, mostly sunny skies are expected. The high will be near 63.

Mostly clear skies will follow into Saturday night, with a low around 54.

Partly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 68. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Sunday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers. The low will be around 54.
