The Wyoming Valley could see some strong storms tonight, but mostly sunny skies are otherwise expected into the midweek.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 58 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and overcast skies were reported.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, with a high near 75.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely tonight. Some storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain. Up to half an inch of rainfall is expected tonight, and the low will be around 56.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Tuesday, along with a 30 percent chance of showers. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 65.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Tuesday night, with a low around 45.

Wednesday will bring partly sunny skies, with a high near 56. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, with a low around 40.
