On this day, the last in July, you better jump to it.

Summer in Pennsylvania – a season to be savored to its fullest, like the last spoonful of ooey goodness at the bottom of a chocolate fudge sundae – won’t last but a few more weeks, so go, go, go to the places and events that recharge your soul, revive happy memories or remind you why this part of the planet, not Tallahassee or Tucson, is where you choose to be.

Beeline to a public pool like the one in Kingston’s Hamilton Park. Or get to a cool, watery spot in one of the area’s exceptional state parks: Frances Slocum, Ricketts Glen or the lesser-used Nescopeck.

Take in a RailRiders minor league baseball game or schedule a late-August excursion to South Williamsport for the Little League Baseball World Series; as long as you’re headed that way, the kids might appreciate a chance to ogle the slithering things at Clyde Peeling’s Reptiland.

Before all the fireflies vanish from backyards, and those work, school and other obligations intrude this fall, find time to more fully appreciate the Keystone State: Philadelphia’s history, Altoona’s “horseshoe,” Lancaster County’s rolling countryside. Perhaps pluck an idea from pennlive.com’s “Pennsylvania Bucket List.”

Seasons pass.
