HUGHESTOWN — It all came down to singles.

Thanks to Wyoming Area’s top three players, the Warriors were able to pick up a closely-contested win, 3-2, over rival Pittston Area on Wednesday in Hughestown.

Kierstin Grillo, Lauren Perry and Anna Thomas each picked up straight set victories for the Warriors. Grillo was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Sara Swartz. Perry was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Jess Borget. Thomas was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Taryn Whitman.
