BLOOMSBURG — Pittston Area graduate and Bloomsburg University freshman Allie Barber was recently named to the women’s soccer All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference third team.

Barber, a forward from Pittston Township, was honored despite not starting in any of the 19 games she played in during the season. Coming off the bench she led the Huskies in points with 18 and was tied for the team lead in goals with seven and assists with four.

Barber’s best game of the year came against Seton Hill when she scored three times and had one assist. She is joined in recognition with All-PSAC first team teammate Chrissy Hollan and third-team honoree Jenna Fisher.

“Allie came in and had an immediate impact on our program,” Bloomsburg University head coach Matt Haney said. “She utilized her pace to become our leading scorer this year. We leaned heavily on her and are excited to have a part in her growth as an all-around soccer player. She represents a very talented freshman class that has a bright future here at Bloomsburg.”
