HUGHESTOWN — More than 30 youngsters came out to the first Middle States Rally Stars Summer Tennis Camp sponsored by the Pittston Area girls tennis team held Monday through Thursday, July 18-21.
The camp, designed for children in kindergarten through fourth grade, was held at the Pittston Area tennis courts at the Martin L. Mattei Middle School. The participants were treated to four days of instruction from United States Tennis Association (USTA) certified instructors.
The cardinal team members were Brenna O’Malley, Anna Field and Caden Boettger. Coaches were Abby Connors and Julia Parrick.
Royal blue team members were LJ Shotwell, Brennan Callahan and Sammy Hull. Coaches were Mackenzie Connors and Brianna Jenkins.

Coached by Briana Yashkus, lime team members were Carlena Lizza, Ayla Krieger, Daniella Ranielli, Jenna Greico and Lauren Ivey.
Coached by Taryn Whitman, the sapphire team was Jacob Hull, Olivianna Vanesco, Sarah Connors, Sabrina Fath and Brianna Carrozza.
The daisy team, coached by Emi Patel, featured Laura Farber, Erin Casey, Grace Petro, Sadie Gregory and Nora Philben.
Emily Krazer and Hannah Seyer coached the Irish team. They were Taryn O’Malley, Gianna DePietropaolo, Sophie Wargo, Leona Wasileski and Madison Jacubowski.
The orange team’s Charity McLeod and Julia Zambetti were mentors toJacob Ivey, Giuliania Latona and Julianna Cocco.
Madison Stanton and Julia Zambetti helped out cherry team members Maci Bulzoni, Isabella Franchetti and Alana Craig.
The Pittston Area girls tennis team recently sponsored the first Middle States Rally Stars Summer Tennis Camp in Hughestown for more than 30 youngsters.
