Allie Barber has had a hard time duplicating her past scoring efforts, but the junior from Pittston Area remains a big part of the Bloomsburg University women’s soccer offense.
Barber has taken a team-high 21 shots, scoring one goal. She ranks third on the team in assists with three.
The Huskies, an NCAA Division II team, are 7-3-2, including 6-3-2 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
Barber led Bloomsburg in scoring as a freshman when she was a third team All-PSAC choice. She shared the team scoring lead last season when she moved up to second-team PSAC honors as well as being selected third-team, All-Atlantic Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association.
After opening with a goal in an 8-1 win over Chestnut Hill, Barber has had assists in three different games, including one-goal conference victories over Mercyhurst Sept. 22 and Shippensburg Oct. 4.
Barber had seven goals and four assists as a freshman, despite not starting any games. She started all 18 games last season and finished with two goals and seven assists. Barber has started all 12 games this season.
