Santo Insalaco was a senior captain on the Scranton Prep team that won Lackawanna League Division 3 and District 2 Class 2A boys soccer titles to take an unbeaten record into the state tournament.

Four-time defending state champion Lewisburg held off Scranton Prep, 3-2, Tuesday night in a first-round Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association game to end the Cavaliers’ season at 17-1-1.

Insalaco was part of the starting defense as Scranton Prep allowed just one goal in four district playoff games and fewer than one per game throughout the season. He scored one goal and assisted on another.
