$500 donation for police dog

Northeast Windows of Pittston donated $500 to the Pittston City's efforts to obtain a police dog. Councilman Mike Lombardo said about half of the $20,000 goal has been reached. Because of difficult financial times, the city is unable to afford a dog and officials are moving forward with a plan to raise funds independent of the city's budget. The dog would be trained in narcotic detection and patrol operations.
