OLD FORGE -- Brian Tomasetti ran for 200 yards and three touchdowns Friday night as host Old Forge defeated rival Riverside, 42-7, in the District 2 Class A football semifinals.
The unbeaten Blue Devils will be home again Friday night in the district championship game against Dunmore, a 32-12 winner over Lackawanna Trail in the other semifinal.
Tomasetti ran 57 yards for a second-quarter touchdown to help Old Forge build a 21-0 halftime lead.
He returned a kickoff 70 yards to set up a 1-yard score then raced 63 yards for another as the Blue Devils responded to Riverside's only score with three touchdowns in the next 9:11.
Brenden Wahl threw 29-yard touchdown passes to Michael Vieira and Jake Manetti. Manetti ran 9 yards for the other Old Forge touchdown.
The Blue Devils held the Vikings to two first downs and 71 yards in the first half.
The game completed Old Forge's season sweep of Riverside. The Blue Devils won the regular-season meeting, 54-7.
