A 62-year-old Pittston man was killed Monday night after being struck by a car while crossing state Route 315 near the Super 8 motel in Pittston Township.

Lawrence Korman, 62, was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m. in the emergency room at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, said acting coroner William Lisman.

The cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries.

Lisman said the driver of the vehicle stopped.

No charges have been filed.
