PITTSTON — It’s almost time for Greater Pittston residents to get the keys to their new condos.
The River’s Edge condominiums on Kennedy Boulevard are expected to be complete by the end of September. The 30-unit structure features views of the Susquehanna River, as well as modern construction throughout.
According to councilman Michael Lombardo, there are currently 18 deposits paid out of the 30 units available. One bedroom condos start at $100,000, while the most expensive penthouse unit is $250,000. There are many two bedrooms available at $150,000, depending on floor plans. According to Century21.com, the complex’s homeowners’ association fee is $300 per month and includes water, sewer, garbage, maintenance, landscaping and common areas.
Rob Grimm of Grimm Construction in Waymart is the developer. The project is being built through a public-private partnership. The city and redevelopment authority obtained $4 million in state grants, including $1.5 million in gaming funds and $2.5 million from a redevelopment assistance capital program.
