PITTSTON — More than 10,000 people packed the streets and filled establishments along downtown’s Main Street as the third annual Pittston City St. Patrick’s Parade rolled into the city.

Locals, some wielding shillelaghs and some depicting leprechauns, dressed in their best Irish garb to make Main Street a sea of green. Prior to the annual parade, more than 150 people participated in the first-ever Leprechaun Loop, a one-mile race throughout downtown.

Following the set festivities, many local establishments featured specials and live bands throughout the afternoon and evening.
