PITTSTON — There was plenty to sing about at the Pittston Memorial Library on Monday, June 20 during its first-ever “Golden Girls”-themed trivia night.
Though the event was free, space was limited, and the library was “sold out” of tickets within hours of announcing the event on Facebook.
The event featured trivia, a singalong, coloring session, raffles prizes, cheesecake and more.
The sitcom, which follows the lives four older women sharing a house in Miami, was popular during its seven-season run starting the in mid-1980s.

Library officials said there are talks of planning similar trivia events with different pop culture themes in the future.
