MOUNTAIN TOP — The annual Miles for Michael Golf Tournament was held on Friday, July 29 at Blue Ridge Golf Club in Mountain Top.

More than 100 golfers took part in the event, which raised money for the Miles for Michael Foundation, which was created in 2006 following the passing of Duryea resident Michael Joyce, who was 43 and the president of Joyce Financial Group. Joyce passed from head and neck cancer after a 14-month battle.

Over the past several years, the foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars. All proceeds to go help families in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Anyone interested in donating to the foundation can email info@milesformichael.org or call 570-655-2831.
