Harding resident assist with teaching math through music

MOUTAIN TOP — Nina Owen, of Harding, was one of 40 Misericordia Univeristy students Math Club and Teacher Education students who offered lessons on using music to understand mathematics to the St. Jude School students in Pre-K through eighth grade.

Activities included making music on cardboard instruments with different numbers of rubber-band strings, matching quarter-half and whole notes in a game of musical-themed dominoes and more.
