Firefighters from the West Wyoming Fire Dept. #1 recently visited The Cookie Corner in West Wyoming in honor of Fire Prevention Month.
The firefighters provided both the children and educators with life-saving information, including the importance of running fire drills, how to “Get Low and Go” and how and when to “Stop, Drop, Cover Your Face and Roll.”
Everyone had the opportunity to practice.
The most valuable lesson, however, was the idea that a firefighter is a friend and not to be afraid to approach one in full gear in the event of a fire.
