GREATER PITTSTON — The evening of the aftermath of one of the biggest snowstorms in a few years was quiet and serene. The photos shown are from different parts of Greater Pittston, well after evening fell.

The area received between 10 and 12 inches of snow on top of one of the longest periods of frigid weather. The extremely low temperatures will lift slightly this week, but still below seasonal temperatures.

As of this past Friday, many of the municipalities were still clearing streets.
