AVOCA — Avoca Cub Scout Pack 316 and Troop BSA 316 honored veterans by retiring old American flags and replacing them with new ones at three Avoca cemeteries in time for Memorial Day. Flags were replaced at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ss. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery and Lancliffe Cemetery. Scouts were treated to a lunch at the VFW Post 8335. Avoca Cub Scout Pack 316 and Troop BSA 316 are sponsored by Queen of the Apostles Parish, Avoca.
