The Rotary Club of Wyoming names ‘Paul Harris Fellowships’ recipients

WILKES-BARRE — The Rotary Club of Wyoming recently awarded three Paul Harris Fellowships at its annual Christmas Party at the Westmoreland Club. The Paul Harris Fellow program recognizes individuals who have made contributions of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. The honor was established in 1957 to show appreciation for donors who support the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Foundation grant. Rotary started with the vision of one man – Paul Harris. Harris was an attorney in Chicago, Ill., who formed the Rotary Club of Chicago on Feb. 23, 1905 for professionals with diverse backgrounds to gather, exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships, and give back to their communities.
