Jenkins Township/Yatesville Crime Watch sponsors 4 Mile Run/1 Mile Walk May 5

The Jenkins Township/Yatesville Borough Crime Watch will hold its inaugural 4 Mile Run/1 Mile Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 5. First row, Wendy Sartin. JENKINS TWP. — The Jenkins Township/Yatesville Borough Crime Watch will hold its inaugural 4 Mile Run/1 Mile Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 5.

The event will begin at Pittston Area High School, 5 Stout St., Yatesville, go through the streets of Jenkins Township and ending back at the Pittston Area High School. The walk will be held on the grounds of the high school.

There will be trophies for top overall male and female runners who cross the finish line and medals will be awarded to the first, second and third-place male and female runners in each age group.

The 1 mile walk medals will be awarded to the top three male/female finishers.

Entry fee is $20 until Saturday, April 28. Same day registration will be $25 and will be held from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at the high school. This event will be held rain or shine.

Make checks payable to Jenkins Township/Yatesville Borough Crime Watch. Proceeds from this event will be used to help restore the Honor Roll Wall memorial on East Saylor Ave in Shantytown.
