Our Lady of Fatima is calling to Pay for Peace in the World and Meditate on the Mysteries of the Rosary. In response to her call, a monthly evening of prayer and song will be held in the chapel. The evenings will be led by Ernie Pappa and will include: hymns and Fatima prayers, the Rosary, scriptural mysteries in song, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Prayers will be at 6 p.m. Monday, May 21; Monday, June 18; Monday, July 16.

Every Wednesday Novena prayers to St. Joseph and St. Joseph Marello after the 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Masses. Confessions before Masses.

Thursday, first Thursday of the month, Holy Hour for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life at 7 p.m. Come and join in prayer to ask the Lord to send young and less young people to serve the Holy Church in the Priesthood and in the Religious Life.

Friday, first Friday of the month, Mass at 7 and 11 a.m. with devotion prayers to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. At 8 p.m. the Blue Army Vigil to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Holy Hour and confessions at 8 p.m. and a special Holy Mass at 9 p.m.

Saturday, first Saturday of the month, Mass at 8 a.m. with devotion prayers to the Blessed Mother.

A Bake Sale will be hosted by the Women’s Society Sunday, April 29 after all Masses.

The process of cleaning Sacred Heart Cemetery for spring has begun. All planters and decorations remaining on lots from last year are to be removed. Any remaining after Monday, April 30 will be discarded.

A flea market will be held Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 in the church hall. Items in good condition that are longer wanted or needed can be dropped off in the church hall from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Sundays, until Thursday, May 3. Items that will be accepted include household items, kitchen items, toys, holiday decorations, books, jewelry, furniture and more. Electronics and clothing will not be accepted.

The old church pews will be removed from the church to make way for interior renovation work Monday, May 21. The pews will be available to people who would like them. Those interested are to make your their request at the parish office as soon as possible.

A chicken dinner featuring Kundla’s famous BBQ chicken will be held at the St Anthony’s Center, 156 Erie Ave., Exeter on Sunday, May 20. The dinner includes ½ chicken, potato, vegetable, salad, roll, and dessert. Take out is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and eat-in from noon to 3 p.m. Cost is $10 per dinner, pre-sales only.
