The Pittston Area School Board of Education recently recognized the top 10 first-grade performers in The Accelerated Reading Program, which helps students track their reading comprehension by providing them tools to measure their improvement. Students select books to read and then tested their comprehension by taking a computerized test. The children accumulate points based on the number of questions answered correctly.
