The 42nd annual Harvest Festival or “Dozynki” as it is known, will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 on the parish grounds. Polka Punch will begin providing entertainment at 1:30 p.m. The blessing of the Harvest Wreath will be at noon. In addition to our popular basket raffles and games we will have face painting, storytelling and a bounce house for the children.

The Oblate of St. Joseph Fathers will hold the annual Triduum and Feast of St. Joseph the Worker.
The Triduum (three days of prayers) will be held on Friday, Aug. 31, Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sunday, Sept. 2. with a Mass at 7 p.m., followed by special prayers to St. Joseph. Confessions and the Holy Rosary will precede the Mass.
The Feast will be celebrated on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3 with a Solemn Mass at 11 a.m.. Serving as celebrant and homilist will be Bishop John M. Dougherty, D.D. auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Scranton. St. Joseph’s Bread will be blessed and distributed following the Mass as a “symbol of the fruit of our labor.
The special intentions for the triduum celebration include: for all employed and unemployed, for students, teachers, administrators, and staff, for peace and prosperity in our families, for peace in the World and for an increase of vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life to serve Jesus’ Church.
The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held from 67 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday in the seminary chapel at St. Joseph’s Oblate Seminary. It includes recitation of the Rosary and opportunity for confessions. Holy Mass is celebrated at 7 p.m., followed by Novena prayers to St. Joseph and St. Joseph Marello, founder of the Oblates of St. Joseph religious congregation. A bus pilgrimmage to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy of Faustina in Stockbridge, Massachuesetts will be held Friday, Oct. 5. The bus leaves at 7 a.m. from the back section of the parish parking lot. World Youth Day will be held in Panama City, Panama from Jan. 22-27, 2019. World Day is an initiative from St. John Paul II to gather Young Catholics of the world every two to three years in a celebration of faith and culture. The World Youth Day events gather millions, including Pope Francis, young Catholics, clergy, and religious brothers and sisters.
