YATESVILLE — A few decades ago, the Honorable James A. Musto Solarium was opened on the campus of the Pittston Area High School, named after the long-time Representative of the Greater Pittston area.

Since then, the sign that represented the Solarium, also known as the Greenhouse, had fallen into disrepair over the years.

This year, the art department and the industrial arts department at the Pittston Area High School took on the project of refurbishing the painted wooden sign. With the help of Representative Mike Carroll in acquiring the decal of the State Seal of Pennsylvania, art teacher Judy Greenwald and industrial arts teacher Frank Victor, the students were able to bring the sign back to its former glory.

The Musto family, Rep. Carroll and school personnel unveiled the redone sign and renewed the spirit in which the greenhouse was established.
