The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held from 6 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday in the seminary chapel at St. Joseph’s Oblate Seminary. It includes recitation of the Rosary and opportunity for confessions. Holy Mass is celebrated at 7 p.m., followed by Novena prayers to St. Joseph and St. Joseph Marello, founder of the Oblates of St. Joseph religious congregation. Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in the rectory.

The Women’s Guild will host its fifth annual authentic Polish dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. The menu includes kielbasa, piggies, haluski, pierogi, cabbage and red beet salad, coffee and tea. Guests may bring their own alcoholic beverages. Tickets, which are limited to 175 sit-down dinners, are $10 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and younger. One hundred takeout dinners will be available too for $10 each. The annual Pastoral Outreach Bake Sale will be held the weekend of Oct. 27-28 in the church hall after all Masses. A theme basket and 50/50 raffle will also be available. Donations of baked goods can be dropped off in the church hall beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.

The Novena to St. Jude will be prayed in Sacred Heart Church Sunday, Oct. 28, immediately prior to the 10:30 a.m. Mass. During weekdays, the novena prayers will be recited following Mass. Throughout the novena his statue will be placed in the sanctuary and a first class relic of St. Jude will be offered for veneration after each Mass.

Cemetery Sunday devotions will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday Oct. 28, with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the praying of the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. The names of parishioners who died and were buried from the church since last year’s devotions will be read aloud. After Solemn Benediction and Reposition, a procession will form to the cemetery while the faithful sing the Litany of the Saints. The faithful who cannot walk in the procession may drive to the cemetery. Father will then bless the cemetery and visitation of the graves by the faithful will follow. Traditional Polish, Latin and English hymns will be sung.

All Saints Day Mass schedule: 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31; 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.

All Souls Day Mass Schedule: 7:30 am, Noon (in the cemetery chapel) and 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2.

The Women’s Society Advent Pierogi Sale will take Wednesday, Nov. 7 to Wednesday, Nov. 14. Orders will be taken the weekend of Oct. 20 and 21 after all Masses. Potato and cabbage pierogi will be available. $8 per dozen. Call the Parish Office to place an order. Payment is made at the time of pick-up.

A Halloween party will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 in the church hall. This party is open to children and grandchildren of Laflin residents with children ages 12 and under invited.

All Souls Day will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 2. A liturgy will be celebrated at 8 a.m,. and again at 5:30 p.m. Candles in memory of those who has passed away since Nov. 2, 2017 will be carried to the sanctuary where their name will be read and the candle will be placed in a special place near the special stand containing the memorial envelopes for the November month of souls. Letters of invitation have been mailed to the families of those who have passed.

A pasta dinner will be held Sunday, Nov. 11. Eat in will be from noon to 5 p.m. and take-out will be from noon to 4 p.m. Cost is $12 and children under age 5 are free. Includes homemade Fettuccini, Sausage, sauce, beverage, salad, roll and butter and dessert. There will also be tickets sold for a Specialty Basket Raffle which will be raffled off at our Craft Show on Sunday, Nov. 18.

Holiday Craft Show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 and Sunday, Nov. 18.
