The West Pittston Community Ambulance Association (WPCAA) presented a check to the West Pittston Hose Co. No.1 on Dec. 22.

WEST PITTSTON – The West Pittston Community Ambulance Association (WPCAA) presented a check to the West Pittston Hose Co. No.1 on Dec. 22 in its last official duty as an organization.

The check presentation officially ends the WPCAA’s run of serving the borough for 70 years.

Until they closed their doors in December 2022, the WPCAA’s last 10 years had been affiliated with Commonwealth Health.

The Greater Pittston Regional Ambulance Association now serves West Pittston residents.

“We would like to thank the ambulance association for all the years of serving the residents of West Pittston,” Chief John Hood said. “The nice donation we received will go towards helping buy equipment and other needs for the department.”
