PITTSTON — The City of Pittston’s St. Patrick’s Parade committee announces its 7th Annual Little Miss and Little Mister Pittston Leprechaun contest at noon Saturday, Feb. 22, at Pittston Memorial Library, 47 Broad St.
Entry fee is $5 per child and registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The contest is open to children from ages of three to seven. The children will be asked a few questions about leprechauns and the parade. All children will receive a gift for entering.
“The Little Miss and Mister Leprechaun Contest is definitely the cutest part of the parade festivities,” said St. Patrick’s Parade Co-Chair Sarah Donahue. “The kids give some really funny answers to what a leprechaun is and what they like about our parade. We’ll take applicants at the library that day too.”
Winners will receive trophies and sashes and will ride in the St. Patrick’s Parade on March 1.
Questions on the context could be answered by writing to Sarah Donahue at sdonahue@pittstonstpatricksparade.org.
