SCRANTON — Five students of the Scranton Civic Ballet Company will attend boarding intensives for aspiring professional dancers this summer.

Earning acceptance are Julie Mazaleski, of Duryea, to the American Ballet Theatre, Austin, Texas; Gwyn Antoinette “Ginger” Cruz, of Dallas, to Ballet Austin, Austin, Texas; Robert Zaloga, of Moosic, to Boston Ballet, Boston, Massachusetts; and Abby Lazecki, of Pittston, and Meta Mihalchik, of Laflin, to Joffrey Ballet School, New York, New York. “

The Scranton Civic Ballet Company presents “In Concert” at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15 at the Theatre at North in Scranton. Under the artistic direction of Miss Helen Gaus, students will perform dances from “Midnight Masquerade,” “The Selfish Giant” and Swan Lake.

Tickets for the public performance, hosted at the Theater at North, 1539 N. Main Ave., can be purchased at the studio, 234 Mifflin Ave., Suite 1, and at the door at a cost of $16. For ticket information, call 570-343-0115.
