PITTSTON — Since its formation in 1980 by twin sisters Margaret and Maureen Monahan, Emerald Isle Step Dancers have been no stranger to the Irish madness that is March. A staple of St Patrick’s Day celebrations and festivities, the dance group offers Irish dance varying in type like traditional, unique, and modern styles influenced by “Riverdance” and “Lord of the Dance.” Their music choices are as diverse as their style from bag pipes and fiddles to electric guitar to chart topping pop favorites.
