Kamor earns degree from Kutztown University

KUTZTOWN — Jonathon Paul Kamor, Duryea, received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Special Education from Kutztown University and graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.8 GPA.

He is the son of Paul and Kathleen Kamor, of Duryea, and the grandson of Thomas and Catherine Sunick, of Scranton, and Paul and Patricia Kamor, of Wyoming.

Locals earn awards

WILKES-BARRE — Eight local residents earned academic awards as well as their bachelor’s degrees during the recent commencement weekend at King’s College.

Anneliese Romani, Harding, received The John F. Curley, CPA, Award for Accounting Achievement; Kyler Kovaleski, Avoca, received The Accounting Association Award on Memory of Chris Karmonick; Michael Prociak, Jenkins Township, received The John T. Stapleton Memorial Award for Accounting; Keirstin Lasher, Harding, received The Reverend James J. Doyle, C.S.C., Volunteer of the Year Award. Britney Benkoski, Exeter, received The John P. Moses Award for Public Law; Dana Maurizi, Avoca, received The William G. McGowan School of Business Achievement Award for International Business; Corey Owen, Harding, received The 2018 Outstanding Adult Learner; Brianna Shinko, Harding, received The Temple B’nai B’rith Award for Public Administration.

Aufiere graduates from law school

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — Linnae Marita Aufiere, of Long Island, New York, recently graduated from New York Law School located in Manhattan.

She attended the school’s part-time evening division program and received her Juris Doctor degree with a focus in Taxation on Feb. 1. and also made Dean’s High Honors.

Aufiere passed the February 2018 New York State Bare Examination and attended New York Law School’s commencement ceremony on June 1 at Carnegie Hall.

She is the daughter of Michael and Patricia Aufiere, West Pittston.

Homa named to dean’s list

ANNVILLE — Tanner Homa, Exeter, was named to the Lebanon Valley College dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester.

WILLIAMSPORT — Robert Haas, Dupont, and Joseph Erzar, West Wyoming, recently participated in the 170th Lycoming College spring commencement ceremony.
