HAZLETON — Ray Hopkins, son of Judey and Francis Hopkins of West Pittston, will perform in PTPA’s rendition of Neil Simon’s “Rumors” at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 1 at the J.J. Ferrara Center, 212 W. Broad St.

This is the second time Hopkins will perform with the Pennsylvania Theater of Performing Arts as last year he played Anthony in “Sweeney Todd.”

In “Rumors,” he will portray the character Glenn Cooper.

In August, Hopkins will return to Temple University as a senior theater major. There, he is a member of Temple Smash, a comedy sketch group similar to Saturday Night Live. He will be president of the Temple Improv group “Parliament” and will be the “Alpha Psi Omega” pledge mentor.
