Lombardos win Legacy scholarship
DURYEA — Nathan Lombardo and Ryan Lombardo, Duryea, are winners in the Heroes’ Legacy Scholarships for Children of Fallen or Disabled Service Members.
The scholarship grants for this program are principally underwritten by the author’s after tax proceeds from the book “Of Thee, I Sing. A Letter to My Daughters” written by former President Barack Obama, as well as corporate sponsorships and private donations.
Nathan and Ryan are the children of Michael Lombardo. Nathan will attend Misericordia University to major in Computer Science and Rayn will attend Penn State University to major in Biology.
Shission earns degree

Diaz named to president’s list
LEXINGTON, V.A. — Salvadore Joseph Diaz, Duryea, was named to the Washington and Lee University president’s list for the 2018 spring semester.
A girl was born to Jocalynn Shepherd and Damien Forsythe, Exeter, on May 1.
A boy was born to Shannon and Handrew Hower, Pittston, on May 8.
A girl was born to Gina Kidd and Nicholas Kastner, Duryea, on May 27.
A girl was born to Nichole and James Norris, Jenkins Township, on June 4.
