Andrew Nocito shot a 1-over-par, 36 Friday at Wyoming Valley Country Club to lead Pittston Area to a 154-212 rout of Hanover Area in a Wyoming Valley Conference golf match.
The win improved the WVC-leading Patriots to 4-0 on the season.
Freshman Ryan Reza, who made his varsity debut, and Patrick Ruane each shot 38 for Pittston Area.
Gianni Bartorillo shot a 42.
Pittston Area had five players beat Hanover Area’s best score and the other match it. Max Mihalka had a 47 and Marco Agolino 48.
Nate Wright led the Hawkeyes.
Pittston Area 160, Tunkhannock 178
Noah Gruber shot a 1-under-par, 38 and Gianni Bartorillo added a 39 Monday to lead Pittston Area to the victory at Shadowbrook.
Andrew Nocito shot a 41 while Nick Cook added a 42.
Patrick Ruane and Ryan Noone did not count in the team score, but each shot 43 to match Tunkhannock’s second-best score.
The Tigers were led by a 42 from Blayne Roosa.
Wyoming Area 158, Nanticoke 206
Mitchell Rusinchak and Robbie Yatsko each shot 37 Monday at Fox Hill Country Club to lead Wyoming Area past Nanticoke.
Joey Onda added a 41 and Hunter Hosier a 43 for the Warriors.
Nanticoke was led by Ryan Vida with a 41.
The Warriors ended the week with a 1-3 record.
