Jake Snyder went 3-for-3 Friday to lead the way as Wyoming Area defeated visiting Hanover Area 12-2 in a five-inning, Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 game.

The Warriors have won three of four since starting 0-5 with four of those early losses coming in non-league play.

Snyder led off the bottom of the first with the first of his two triples. He stole two bases in the game and scored four times.

Wyoming Area finished the game off on the 10-run rule by scoring five times in the bottom of the fifth.

Tom Carlin scattered seven hits while striking out five and walking one in a complete game effort.

Alex Vacula went 2-for-2 with a walk while scoring three runs and driving in two.

Brady Noone also drove in two runs.

Wyoming Area is 3-2 in the division and 3-6 overall.

Holy Redeemer 15, Wyoming Area 0

Holy Redeemer’s Cody Quaglia held visiting Wyoming Area to one hit in Monday’s four-inning WVC Division 2 game.

Matt Rusinchak had the only hit for the Warriors.

Wyoming Area 10, Lake-Lehman 5

Wyoming Area temporarily moved into a first-place tie with the April 10 win over host Lake-Lehman.

The Warriors scored twice in the first, then four more times in the second for a 6-2 lead.

Wyoming Area had nine hits and nine stolen bases while taking advantage of five walks and three Lake-Lehman errors.

Dominic Donati went 2-for-3, drove in three runs and scored twice. He led off the second with a walk and scored the run that put Wyoming Area ahead to stay.

Brady Noone also had two hits and scored.

Jake Snyder tripled, scored and drove in a run.

Jacob Morgan stole three bases.

Matt Rusinchak struck out six and did not walk a batter in 5 1/3 innings to get the win. Tom Carlin pitched 1 2/3 hitless, scoreless innings with two strikeouts.

Wyoming Area 13, Wyoming Seminary 3

David Fath drove in four runs and Jeremy Layland three April 9 when Wyoming Area broke through with its first win, closing out the victory in six innings.

The Warriors opened leads of 6-0 through two innings and 11-2 through four.

Brady Noone’s RBI double with none out in the sixth ended the game on the 10-run rule. He also drove in another run.

Matt Rusinchak, Mitchell Rusinchak and Fath had two hits. Layland had a double.

Jake Snyder and Matt Rusinchak scored three times each from the top two spots in the batting order.

Kristian Pugliese pitched the first four innings, giving up four hits. Cody Meade did not allow an earned run in his inning of relief, then Matt Rusinchak pitched a scoreless sixth.

Nanticoke 4, Wyoming Area 1

Wyoming Area dropped its WVC Division 2 opener April 7 on the road.

Jake Snyder had two of the three Wyoming Area hits and scored the only run.

Matt Rusinchak struck out five while limiting the Trojans to two runs (one earned) on two hits in four innings.
